Scapa Flow - Wrecks Tour May 2012

Confirmed Dates for trip to Orkney Islands to dive the Wrecks of the Scuttled German Fleet.
Guided by our Master Instructor RAFF - this trip is set to be an EPIC in all ways...
Departing Friday 4th May to drive up to Northern Scotland, we plan to go in convoy.
We will be taking a minibus/van to carry all dive gear so that car sharing or flying becomes practical.
Ferry Crossing from Scrabster to Stromness on Sat 5th at 12.00 lunchtime to meet the skipper John Thornton, and load all kit on board the converted 24m trawler MV KARIN. John's experience is second to none in Scapa Flow - with 25 years experience running charters for Wrekkies & Tekkies all over the world.
Overnight in Stromness Harbour, with associated (moderate) shinannigans before departure out onto "The Flow" on Sunday for some serious hard-core Wreck Diving.
Dive Options include (and not limited to) :
Battleships : Konig 20-40m / MarkGraf 24-45m / Kronprinz Wilhelm 12-38m
Cruisers : Karlsruhe 12-26m / Brummer 20-36m / Coln 20-35m / Dresden 18-35m
Alternatives : HMS Hampshire / HMS Rodean / Butter Island Seals
- and of course then there's Scallops, Langoustines & Lobsters ???

The Diving Package for the week includes 2 dives each day, with options for more.
Included in the pack is two night dives - an unusual extra for Scapa : should be awesome...
Gas fills for the week are also in the price : Air for the first dive each day to allow depth,
then a Nitrox fill for the second dive to control nitrogen loading and give more down-time !
Accomodation on board MV Karin is comfortable and functional, with Breakfast & lunch on board.
Evening meals are on-shore at the many harbourside pubs & restaurants.
Daily dive-catches can be cooked by arrangement.
Return to Stromness on Friday for a last big night out to celebrate a fantastic weeks Wreck Diving.
Ferry back to the mainland is 9am on Sat 12th to head south and home again...
