Scapa Flow - Wrecks Tour JUNE 2014

Confirmed Dates for trip to Orkney Islands to dive the Wrecks of the Scuttled German Fleet.
Guided by our Course Director RYBY - this trip is set to be an EPIC in all ways...
Departing Friday 20th June to drive up to Northern Scotland, we plan to go in convoy.
[ though with a bit of planning we could go earlier and get some dives in at The Farne Islands - St.Abbs - Eyemouth ]
We will be taking a minibus/van to carry all dive gear so that car sharing or flying becomes practical.
Ferry Crossing from Scrabster to Stromness on Sat 21st at 12.00 lunchtime to meet the skipper Emily Turton, and load all kit on board MV RADIANT QUEEN. Emily's reputation is second to none in Scapa Flow - with years experience running charters for Wrekkies & Tekkies all over the world.
Overnight in the guest house based in Stromness Harbour, with associated (moderate) shinannigans before departure out onto "The Flow" each day for some serious hard-core Wreck Diving.
Dive Options include (and not limited to) :
Battleships : Konig 20-40m / MarkGraf 24-45m / Kronprinz Wilhelm 12-38m
Cruisers : Karlsruhe 12-26m / Brummer 20-36m / Coln 20-35m / Dresden 18-35m
Alternatives : HMS Hampshire / HMS Rodean / Butter Island Seals
- and of course then there's Scallops, Langoustines & Lobsters ???
The Diving Package for the week includes 2 dives each day, with options for more.
Transport of Gear up to Scapa is included in the pack so we can take twins/sides/SCRs : should be awesome...
Air fills for the week are also in the price : Nitrox / Trimix are available on request.
Accomodation in the guest house is "Scottish Luxury" - comfortable and functional, self catered chalet.
Lunch on board has a wide reputation as the best in Orkney...
Evening meals are on-shore at the many harbourside pubs & restaurants ( or Ryby's cooking in the chalet ! )
Daily dive-catches can be cooked by arrangement.
Return to Stromness on Friday for a last big night out to celebrate a fantastic weeks Wreck Diving.
Ferry back to the mainland is 9am on Sat 28th to head south and home again...
[ again we may plan to drive back via Oban/Mull for some dives on the way to break up the drive ]

Minimum qualification : Master Scuba Diver with Deep/Wreck/Nitrox/Drysuit/Night
All divers must dive with redundant air supply (Pony-Rig or Twinset or SideMount)
KIT RENTAL : Full Twinset or SideMount rig for the week £300 incl cylinders.
7L Tec Stage Cylinder and Reg set - incl 70% Deco Gas fill : £100 for the week
Flights up to Kirkwall can be arranged for those wanting to speed up the journey.
Road trip in the Van will be on a petrol share basis...
