DIVERS
ALERT NETWORK
The Divers Alert Network is a
not-for-profit international
organization set up to promote dive
safety and reduce & prevent
accidents – it is run by divers for
divers. Providing emergency care
training specifically for the sports
diving environment, it takes you
beyond the basic introduction to
Oxygen and AED use covered in the
EFR program.
DAN OXYGEN FIRST AID
Providing care using a multi
function Oxygen Rescue Kit you’ll be
prepared to handle responsive,
unconscious and non-breathing
injured divers with demand valve
oxygen regulators and continuous
flow supply to non-rebreather &
oronasal resuscitation masks.
You’ll learn about oxygen safety and
equipment care and maintenance.
DAN ADVANCED OXYGEN FIRST AID
An extension to the basic
Oxygen care skills already learned,
this program covers the use of
“positive pressure” resuscitation
equipment for non-breathing injured
divers.
This is an interesting program
covering the definitive emergency
care equipment as used by paramedics
and Hospital A&E units worldwide.
DAN AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL
DEFIBRILLATOR
A critical link in the chain
of survival “ Airway – Breathing –
Circulation – Defibrillation “
When dealing with cardiac arrest it
is established that revival is
greatly enhanced with use of an AED,
and that CPR contributes to
successful Defibrillation.
This program trains you in the
deployment, management and control
of the scene when using an Automatic
External Defibrillator – equipment
that is becoming widespread in
sporting environments, larger
workplaces and public places
DAN HAZARDOUS MARINE LIFE
INJURIES
This program covers the
first aid treatment for accidents
that occur when diving in both
tropical and temperate waters.
Stings, bites, lacerations and
poisonings are all discussed –
dealing with minor irritations to
life threatening incidents.
Very useful information for anyone
planning a UK dive trip or a diving
holiday abroad. |
