ENRICHED AIR

The start point for
technical dive training
is DEVIL GAS !!!

and Less Nitrogen = More

The
PADI NITROX Specialty
is an excellent first
step on your journey
towards new extended
limits – click

DSAT GAS BLENDER
Blending Nitrox gas adds
a new challenge to dive
preparation, as well as
a new level of
independence and self
reliance. Theory and
Practical Application
sessions provide the
skills and knowledge to
blend your own “DEVIL
GAS”….
Understanding partial
pressure blending and
the safety procedures
for handling pure oxygen
will enable you to mix
gases to within 1%
accuracy of the desired
blend.
You’ll be trained in the
use of the 300bar Nitrox
Blending Panel, to
prepare gases from
22-99% Oxygen Enriched
diving mixes.
Schedules are always set
individually – usually
to involve blending
practise for the monthly
Stoney Cove dive trip….
Call in with your diary
for dates.
DRAGER REBREATHER
Using technical
re-breather equipment,
the Semi Closed Circuit
Drager Dolphin lets you
have longer and quieter
dives, to get closer to
more elusive wildlife.
The course covers the
necessary theory,
equipment preparation
care & maintenance of a
semi-closed circuit
re-breather unit. Pool
training introduces the
different buoyancy
skills necessary to dive
in control and prepares
you to complete the
three open water
training dives in
safety.
If you think you’ve done
it all in scuba diving :
think again –
Re-Breather diving is
completely different
than anything you’ve
ever tried before…. A
seriously new challenge
!
Class & Pool training is
conducted on Tuesday /
Thursday evenings to
suit personal schedules
– call in with your
diary to book it up.
Qualifying dives are at
Wraysbury every month –

dates.
TWINSET DIVER
It’s all about TIME…
Time underwater is all
about GAS
SUPPLY… Gas supply
is about cylinders – so
have more – TAKE
TWO !!!
The
PADI Twinset Specialty
is UNIQUE to Blue
Ocean Diving – not
available at any other
PADI Dive Centre in the
Region.
This is the start of a
long and slippery slope
towards the abyss that
is Technical Diving…….
DEEPER - LONGER - DARKER
A day in the Classroom &
Pool discussing gas
management and dive
planning with practical
sessions on technical
dive “rig” set up, leads
to skills development in
the pool to enable you
to dive competently and
confidently on a Twinset
Tec Dive kit within
recreational limits. |

This program dovetails
perfectly with the DSAT
Tec Basics program as a
stepping stone into FULL
TEC training…
There clear links
between the courses – so
much so that TWINSET
divers qualified at Blue
Ocean Diving get
discount on Tec Deep
training courses….
TEC BASICS
With Direct links to the
PADI TWINSET course and
the TEC DEEP program,
the DSAT introduction to
Tec is a useful stepping
stone on the route
towards the FULL TEC
qualifications…
Covering the Knowledge
Development in the Tec
Deep manual and the pool
skills from Tec Deep
Dive 1 – the progress
that you make in this
course is credited for
the Tec Deep Level 1.
The TWO DIVES in open
water at Wraysbury get
you going through your
paces as a tekkie diver
in deeper water, whilst
facing environmental
conditions somewhat more
challenging than a pool
!
This is a good way to
start Tec Diving if you
cannot commit to the
fulle Tec Deep program
all at once…..
TEC DEEP LEVEL 1
TEKKIE divers always
look cool : “BOYS AND
THEIR TOYS” – Girls too
!!! This is where the
SERIOUS FUN really
begins always treating
the dives with respect….
….. going deeper and/or
longer !
This extensive and
challenging training
program involves
commitment and
investment in time and
equipment, learning to
complete Gas Switch
Extended range dives,
using technical dive
equipment & techniques
to go beyond the limits
of normal recreational
divers.
You’ll need to have
already qualified as a
PADI Nitrox and Deep
Specialist, and have at
least 50 logged dives
with specific experience
in Nitrox & Deep Dives
beyond 30m. Rescue Diver
training is also
recommended.
We strongly
recommend that
you complete the
PADI TWINSET specialty
and gain
experience of at least
20 dives in a Tec rig
prior to enrolling on
this very demanding
program.
Training begins with the
set up of a Tec Diving
“rig” and involves hours
of entertaining problem
solving and skills
development in the pool,
and practise in open
water at Wraysbury
before progressing to
deeper waters of Stoney
Cove to put it all into
action in anger….
This course is very
challenging – but
amazingly good fun.
TEC DEEP LEVEL 2
Conducted in Egypt where
training conditions are
ideal and where weather
cannot interfere with
course logistics, this
program is a
continuation of previous
Tec Deep training and
advances divers
experience and skills
through extended
repetition to build
total mastery.
The progression beyond
Tec Deep level 1
involves going deeper (
that 50m point is
calling…. ) and using
Accelerated
Decompression with up to
100% Oxygen on mandatory
staged deco stops in
addition to the gas
switch extended range
dives you mastered
previously.
Understanding the
hazards and managing the
risk of technical deep
diving is a challenge
for a small niche of
divers who take the
sport seriously and are
prepared for the
investment in time,
effort and money
necessary to safely go
beyond the limits of
normal recreational
divers.
Black masks – Big
Watches – Big Knives…….
Very small…….. Torches ! |
