Instructor Course module. Only one
core module needs doing to complete
multiple Course Instructor programs.
DAN INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATION
COURSE CORE MODULE
Introduces the DAN Organisation,
Mission and Role in the Dive
Industry.
Reviews General Standards &
Procedures for DAN training.
Covers the DAN Teaching Methodology,
Coaching Skills and Practice.
Enables Instructors to participate
in Instructor Course specific
modules.
OXYGEN FIRST AID FOR SCUBA
ACCIDENTS
Being able to teach the DAN Oxygen
Provider Course is another advantage
to add to your c.v./resume as a Dive
Professional. With the intro to
Oxygen Equipment in EFR - the DAN O2
course is ideal for you to promote
sales of further training to your
Rescue diver students – earning you
more income !
You’ll learn how to lead students in
Practical Application of Oxygen
first aid therapy using
multifunction regulators on
continuous flow and demand valve.
You’ll develop demonstration
techniques for deployment of Oxygen
delivery systems in role play
scenarios, as well as coaching tips
for your students.
ADVANCED OXYGEN FIRST AID FOR
SCUBA DIVING INJURIES
The Advanced O2 is essentially how
to use the Manual Trigger
Ventillator [MTV] and the Bag Valve
Mask [BVM] oxygen therapy units –
without training, Rescue divers are
unable to use this equipment
(positive pressure resuscitators).
This course fulfills the Oxygen
Admin requirement for the BSAC
Advanced Diver course and is very
popular with aspiring PADI Pro’s.
AUTOMATED EXTERNAL
DEFIBRILLATOR
The AED course can be positioned as
the missing link in First Aid / CPR
training - as we know that CPR only
keeps the brain alive until
defibrillation can help to restart
the heart. AED units are becoming
common features in sports activity
centres & major workplaces, and will
quite likely become a feature of
risk assessment / emergency plans in
the near future - demand for
training will grow quickly with
European Resuscitation Council
endorsement.
The introduction to AED use included
in the EFR program is a great link
for students to sign up for
continuing their emergency skills
training.
As a DAN AED Instructor you will be
well positioned to capitalize on
this new market.
