The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor training programme can be taken by qualified Divemasters, Assistant Instructors and Instructors, and is best co-ordinated to run in conjunction with an EFR ITC.

The programme covers Knowledge Development and Skills practice to ensure that instructor candidates develop demonstration techniques for deployment of oxygen delivery systems in role play scenarios, as well as coaching tips for your students so that they can provide effective assistance to injured divers.

Being able to teach the PADI Oxygen Provider Course is another advantage to add to your CV/resume as a Dive Professional. Building on the intro to Oxygen Equipment in EFR – this course is ideal for you to promote further training to your Rescue Diver students – so you can offer the complete package!

You’ll learn how to lead students in Practical Application of Oxygen first aid therapy using multifunction regulators on continuous flow and demand valve. You will also gain practical tips on how to introduce students to positive pressure resuscitators – essentially how to use the Manual Trigger Ventilator [MTV100] oxygen therapy unit.

As a PADI Emergency Oxygen Instructor, you will be better prepared to conduct the Rescue Diver session on “first aid for pressure related accidents” – and certainly you’ll find the role-play scenarios entertaining…
