Diving around Malta & Gozo is all about warm clear waters with great wrecks and underwater topography that never fails to impress…
Visibility is often in excess of 40m+, and with water temperatures of 26-28*C at this time of year : we are set for a fantastic week of underwater adventures.
Malta has had one of the most progressive “artificial reef” projects in the world, with a range of wrecks being deliberately sunk to promote wildlife propagation and encourage divers to explore the delights of the Mediterranean.
Many divers return year after year to visit the vast network of impressive caverns, tunnels, arches and swim-throughs that create amazing natural light displays for photography.
At this time of year, we should benefit from late summer calm weather – so diving conditions will make things very “easy” for all of us. Most dive sites can be picturesque, relatively shallow and stress-free : and then there’s always the opportunity for some serious depth for the hard-core Trimix Tekkies…
You can join this trip even if you’re not qualified yet… As long as you’ve completed the class & pool training – you can complete the qualifying dives for the Open Water course out in Malta : but you have to commit to at least the PADI Advanced course as well – simply because most dive sites require this level of training/experience.
We also recommend the PADI Nitrox, Deep & Wreck specialty courses so that you can get the very best out of the holiday…
The Gillieru Harbour Hotel gives us 4* quality accommodation on B&B basis, located only 10mins walk from the Dive Centre in Buggiba – and its got a roof top pool 🙂
Well furnished, well equipped, and based on twin-share bedrooms
All rooms have twin or double beds, full bathroom with shower, security & air conditioning.
Dive gear will be stored at Buddies Dive Centre for the duration – so there’s no carrying back/forth
Buggiba is the Central town for Bars & Restaurants – with menus for all tastes and budgets.
This Blue Ocean Dive Holiday is open to all divers at every level : New Open Water Divers to Advanced Technical Instructor.
