Course Details

Emergency First Response : Primary and Secondary care are covered in this one day course which builds your competence and confidence in performing CPR and First Aid as well as use of Oxygen Therapy & AED (Automatic External Defibrillators).
Classes run every month on a SATURDAY from 10am until 4pm.

EFR e-learning self study prepares you for class where you’ll learn about scene safety assessment, barrier use to prevent disease transmission as well as injury and illness assessment. You’ll practice skills in small groups (max 3) to handle unconscious breathing and non-breathing patients, as well as managing shock, serious bleeding and spinal injury.

You may be a Scubaholics Club Member thinking of doing your PADI Rescue Diver Course, but these emergency skills are invaluable not only for participation in any adventure sport but as a reassuring life skill you might need to call upon at any time.

The EFR course provides essential “Life Skills” to handle accidents and incidents, and is a nationally recognised qualification for first aid in the workplace. Many employers are prepared to pay for their staff to take this course.

Whilst the subjects covered are serious and are treated with respect, we run this programme in a relaxed atmosphere and make it light-hearted and enjoyable.

Extra Emergency Skills :

The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty course provides in depth training and practical experience in using medical Oxygen therapy equipment for pressure related diving incidents. Using both demand valve and continuous flow breathing equipment as well as the positive pressure resuscitator MTV100 (paramedics kit) you'll learn how to assist injured divers in varying degrees of distress.

The Oxygen Specialty is £145 if booked as a stand alone course - or just £80 in the Rescue-EFR-Oxy combo deal.
